I would recommend this book to anyone looking for some good organizing tips that won't be earth-shattering, but will be very helpful and practical to apply to your spaces. The book was light and entertaining while providing useful information. She also had some entertaining terms for certain processes. She even gave tips that would allow the reader to save money while also reducing clutter or organizing what they have. Discover a service-oriented, globally-connected Christian church that is led by a prophet of God and seeks to follow Jesus Christ and His restored gospel. I felt that the author's advice was very practical and easy for anyone to apply. While reading, I definitely had a few "light bulb" moments that will definitely change the way I accumulate stuff and organize the stuff that I already have. ![]() I found myself decluttering this evening and putting some of Dana's tips to use already. This book definitely motivated me to start organizing and decluttering. Otherwise that "keep" box allows you to continue hanging on to stuff without making a decision in the moment. I also loved the idea of not having a "keep" box when decluttering, but rather just putting things where they belong if you are choosing to keep them. I loved the concept of thinking of everything (including your actual home) as a "container" and limiting what you have based on the size of the containers you have for those items. I thought that it provided simple but logical ideas and tips for decluttering and organizing. Organizing for the Rest of Us was an enjoyable, quick read. In an attempt to get her home under control, Dana started blogging as Nony (short for anonymous) at A Slob Comes Clean. She taught both English and theatre arts before leaving her job to make her family her life’s work. I voluntarily chose to review it and the opinions contained within are my own.
